Gina Marie Alber is an Indiana resident serving Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area. She is highly recommended by families, educators, and community organizations for her expertise, integrity, and compassionate approach. Gina is deeply committed to staying educated in her field and ensuring her clients are informed, supported, and confident in their decisions. With extensive experience in social services and special education, Gina brings nearly two decades of leadership as a teacher, administrator, consultant, and advocate. She has served thousands of families across both Indiana and Texas school systems, giving her a broad and practical understanding of educational systems, compliance, and individualized supports. Her work includes special education supervision, transition planning, workforce development, and postsecondary instruction.
Gina is the CEO and Founder of GMA / Gina Alber Consulting, LLC, where she supports families, organizations, and professionals through informed guidance and strategic solutions. In addition, she has served as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Education and an Employer Consultant at Ivy Tech Community College, contributing to workforce development, course design, and community partnerships.
Her dedication is deeply personal. Gina understands firsthand the needs of families navigating educational systems, services, and long-term planning. This lived experience shapes her client-centered approach and fuels her passion for advocacy and meaningful outcomes.
Gina holds a Master of Education from Indiana Wesleyan University and maintains multiple certifications, including a Director of Special Needs License from Indiana University–Bloomington. She is actively involved in her community, serving on several nonprofit boards, including United Way of LaPorte County, and the LaPorte County Public Library Board of Trustees. She is a long-time member of LaPorte Tri Kappa, and a Kiwanis inductee in 2026. Her work in her community extends through her involvement with many groups. She has also been recognized as a nominee for the Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association and serves on the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce and the LaPorte Economic Advancement Partnership Ambassador Board.
